David Ricardo
An influential member of the classical economists, Ricardo was a political economist and credited for systemizing economics. He also happened to be a member of the parliament, speculator, financer and businessman. One of his greatest contributions in the economical field is the theory of comparative advantage. The theory of comparative advantage was in the favour of free trade among countries which specialized in production of a specific good. He was born to a Sephardic Jewish family of Portuguese origin. It was at the age of 21 that Ricardo eloped with Priscilla Anne Wilkinson a Quaker. Finally after marriage he became a Unitarian.
